Every engagement is different, but the discipline is the same. Here is how we take an owner from a first confidential conversation to a completed transaction, and what you can expect from us at each stage.

Discovery and fit

It starts with a confidential conversation, not a pitch. We want to understand your goals, your timeline, and what a good outcome actually looks like for you, whether that is a sale this year or a transition several years out. Just as important, we tell you honestly whether we are the right fit for your situation. If we are not, we will say so and point you in a better direction. There is no obligation at this stage, and there is no pressure to move faster than you are ready to.

Valuation and preparation

Before anything goes to market, we establish a defensible value range grounded in your real earnings and current market comparables, not a flattering number designed to win your listing. We identify the drivers that support value, the risks a buyer will price against you, and what can be improved before buyers ever see the business. Then we prepare the story: clean financials, a clear narrative, and answers ready for the questions we know are coming. Preparation is where most of the eventual outcome is decided.

Going to market

Discretion governs everything here. We market the business without exposing its identity, qualify buyers before any sensitive detail changes hands, and require confidentiality agreements before meaningful disclosure. Your employees, clients, and competitors should never learn a sale is being considered until you decide they should. At the same time, we work to create competitive interest among qualified buyers, because options are what give a seller leverage.

Negotiation and due diligence

Offers are more than a headline number. We help you evaluate structure, terms, contingencies, and the certainty of closing, and we negotiate from the strength of the preparation done earlier. When diligence begins, we manage the flow of requests, keep responses organized and timely, and protect your position when questions get pointed. Our job is to keep momentum without letting the process wear you down or erode the deal you agreed to.

Closing and transition

We coordinate with your attorney and accountant through the closing itself: purchase agreements, allocations, assignments, and the mechanics that turn an agreement into a completed transaction. Then we help you hand the business over cleanly, so the buyer succeeds, your team lands well, and you leave the table with the outcome you set out to achieve.

This process is led by practitioners, not observers. Our founder has sat on every side of the table, having built and sold multiple businesses and acquired, grew, and sold a technology services company. That experience shapes how we prepare you, what we anticipate, and how we protect your interests when it matters most.
